While not luxurious it’s a lovely cottage in a still remaining island community, not too far from a small town with several restaurants. Views from the front door r stunning Bridie is a great host with character Negatives are the tone and impersonal manner of the website,

The house was lovely. So clean and well equipped. I would stay there again. Only thing was there was a truck parked outside the door, almost hindering access to the house. It didn’t look great and also was a bit in the way. I assume it belonged to the neighbours but it might be a good idea to ask them to be mindful of other guests.

Enjoyed a family stay in the lodge. We were a group of 6 adults 1 baby & 1 dog. Plenty of room for everyone. Bonus having ensuite bathrooms. Great green space for the dog. Very good Wi-Fi. No need for a password. Good location for touring around Cork area. Anna was great re communicating. Travel cot & high chair supplied for baby. Nothing to complain about. Would recommend the lodges for a family stay.

Lovely accommodation located in a nice area with plenty of living spaces. Very friendly local contact. A small starter (tea, coffee, milk…) would have been appreciated especially since the only local shop was closed.

What are the top sights in Ireland?

St. Patrick's Day aka St. Patrick's Day is the national holiday celebrated in honor of St. Patrick, patron saint of 'Ireland, on March 17 each year. Ireland during this holiday thinks green, is tinged with green and will look like you have never seen it before. Characteristic of this holiday are the parades through the city streets, especially in Dublin but also in other states, for example of the United States in New York. During this holiday you want to eat only what is green and wear green-colored clothing and, more importantly, you cannot miss a shamrock; this is because tradition states that St. Patrick explained the mystery of the Holy Trinity to the Irish precisely through the 'use of a shamrock. On March 17 and the days following, Ireland is filled with people, citizens and non-citizens, tourists from every nation, dancing and singing in the Irish streets, always accompanied by a nice mug of Guinness. While the number of Guinness consumed per day in Ireland is typically 700 thousand gallons, during this day it amounts to 1.85 million.

Ireland is thus a country with a magical atmosphere, full of history, folklore, joviality and inmere attractions to discover, some of which we have just described to you and from which we hope you will draw inspiration for a stay in this fantastic land. Book a holiday home from our portal, to experience the best of your travels in full comfort and tranquility at affordable prices!

Experiencing Ireland: Inspiring scenery

Staying in one of the many Ireland vacation rentals dotted all over the island will give you access to the very best of the country. Discover the Causeway coastal route - divided into four sections this route will bring you to some incredibly scenic locations, including the dramatic cliffs in Binevanagh, the famous nine Glens of Antrin and the Giant's causeway.

In total, the route goes through 24 points of interest. If you want to explore them all, start at either Belfast or Londonderry. The route is only 195 miles long from one end to the other. While it can be covered in a few hours, you will want to get out, explore, take pictures and admire the breathtaking scenery. That is a great advantage of a small country, you can visit a couple of these destinations in one day, then head back to your Ireland vacation home to relax, and start from where you left off the following day.

When it is time to travel south, book an Ireland vacation home in the Republic of Ireland, and discover there are many more sites and destinations worth visiting. The Cliffs of Moher and the nearby caves and neolithic tombs in County Clare will take your breath away and make you ponder over Ireland's mysterious Celtic heritage and history. For more breathtaking scenery follow the Ring of Kerry and drive along the rugged coast and through Killarney National Park.
